Eesti: Pildil on näha aerjalgset, kes on püütud Rakvere linnatiigist, Eestis. Foto tegemisel on kasutatud kahte valguslahendust: tumevälja mikroskoopiat ja polariseeritud valgust. Pilt on jäädvustatud 3,5x suurendusega. Aerjalgsed on oluline osa mageveeökosüsteemidest, olles toiduahelas nii primaarseteks tarbijateks kui ka toiduks suurematele organismidele. Polariseeritud valguse kasutamine võimaldab esile tuua struktuurilisi variatsioone, mis on palja silmaga nähtamatud, samas kui tumevälja tehnika aitab luua kontrastset tausta, tuues organismi selgelt esile.
